TechGrayscale is looking for a Project Manager

Our Denver-based design studio is searching for a part-time Project Manager. We’re a bit different than other creative agencies, but we all say that. We’re passionate about the work we create, and the relationships we build. Also fairly cliché, but true.

What sets us apart is the caliber of work we’re known for. Delivering consistently great design solutions. Being thinking, feeling partners who become experts in our clients’ worlds. And being a tightly-knit team that has each other's backs. We like to get our hands dirty printing posters at the studio. We’ll pull an all-nighter if we think an idea has merit. And we all take the trash out.

As the Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing client relationships and project schedules and delivery. The Project Manager will report to the Account/Project Director. The role is a part-time position, averaging 8-12 hours/week, in the Greater Denver area.

About You

You’re an experienced project manager with at least 2 years of experience. You know that building authentic client relationships requires you to be an advocate and advisor to them. Your empathy allows you to protect the creative team’s schedules and timelines, while also delivering the highest-quality work to our clients. Your strengths include confident communication, being calm and solution-oriented under pressure, and the ability to make quick, logical decisions. You thrive on seeing both the high-level and the close-up view of a project. You are clairvoyant: you can anticipate the needs, opportunities, and pitfalls of a project. And stay ahead of them. You’re also a translator: you can interpret client needs to the creative team, and communicate the creative strategy back to the client. A good sense of humor means you can thrive in a dynamic team and industry.

Your Responsibilities
  • Proactively manage daily communication with clients about their projects
  • Manage the execution of projects; building and controlling the schedule, budget and requirements, ensuring all deliverables are of high quality
  • Actively manage client, team and vendor priorities
  • Manage cross-functional teams throughout the standard web process and maintenance tasks
  • Effectively manage vendors to ensure smooth project delivery and process
  • Escalate issues as appropriate
  • Look for growth opportunities with existing and new accounts
  • Help to define and implement company processes and procedures
  • Conflict resolution and negotiations
  • Other duties as needed (we all jump in where needed to ensure client and team satisfaction)
Getting Started/Key Outcomes

In the first 30 days, you’ll have:
Met everyone on our team
Reviewed our top priorities for the remainder of 2020
Reviewed existing projects and accounts

Within 90 days, you’ll have:
A thorough sense of our clientele, and expectations that need to be met.
Made adjustments to our project management approach (as needed), identified immediate priorities, and pulled together a plan for executing

As a company, we value

An insatiable appetite for learning.
Exceeding expectations. For our clients and ourselves.

Loyalty. To those around you. To yourself. To an idea.

We’re committed to building a diverse team, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.
